Creating a Template Message

In Convers8, message templates allow your business to send structured, reusable WhatsApp messages that follow Meta’s guidelines. Each template is made up of four possible components: Header, Body, Footer, and Buttons.

This guide walks you through the complete template creation process inside Convers8.

1. Navigate to the Templates Page

From the left sidebar, click on Templates. You will see a list of all your existing templates. To create a new one, click the New Template button at the top right.

2. Fill in Basic Information

A modal will appear with the first step: Basic Info. Here you must provide:

Template Name

Must be unique (Meta requirement).

Category

Choose one of the Meta-approved categories:

Marketing

Utility

Authentication

Language

Select the language of your template from all languages supported by Meta.

After filling all required fields, click Next to proceed.

3. Add Template Components

The next step is defining the structure of your message. Convers8 supports the four standard template components:

3.1 Variables

Variables allow you to personalize the message (e.g., including names, numbers, codes, etc.).

In Convers8, you can:

• Type variables manually using formats like {{name}}, {{1}}, or
• Click Add Variable under the Body text area to open the variable editor component.

The variable editor allows you to set the variable type:

Name

Number

3.2 Header (Optional)

You may include:

Text header

Media header Headers are optional and can be skipped.

3.3 Body (Required)

This is the main message content of your template.

Maximum 1024 characters

Supports template variables as described above

Convers8 validates the message as you type. A live Preview is displayed on the right side of the modal.

3.4 Footer (Optional)

A short closing line or additional information.

Also updates automatically in the preview.

Click Next to continue once all components are valid.

4. Buttons (Optional)

Buttons enhance your template with quick actions. Convers8 supports all Meta-approved template buttons.

Here, you can:

Add buttons

Select the button type

Fill in the button details

After configuring your buttons (or choosing to skip them), click Next.

5. Submit Template

Convers8 will review your inputs and prepare the template for submission.

Click Submit Template to complete the process.

The creation may take a moment — after processing, your new template will appear in the Templates list with its current Meta approval status.
